Little Heavy Baby Waldorf Doll
A smaller version of our bestselling Heavy Baby™ Waldorf Dolls, these precious sweeties weigh 2½ pounds and are perfectly sized for younger children, ages one and up.
Inspired by Waldorf baby dolls that originated in Germany in 1919, Heavy Babies were designed to resemble the weight and feel of a real baby.
It has the characteristic Waldorf doll's head. Its facial features are hand embroidered and intentionally simple in order to encourage imagination and creativity during play.
This is the original Little Baby™ doll, made from the original design and pattern created by Trish Mooney.
The combination of its warm wool stuffing and the weight of its body gives the Little Heavy Baby a life-like feel that fosters nurturing.
Little Heavy Baby (like its larger sibling) is just right for a child who needs to "lug," and has a settling and comforting quality for those in need of extra sensory care.
Each Little Heavy Baby is filled with organic, lavender-scented millet and is designed to have weight like a real baby. A bunting-style doll, this doll's body is sack-like, without legs.
Lovingly handmade by our skilled doll-maker, each one is unique and dimensions may vary slightly.
For children 4 and older, we recommend our original Heavy Baby Waldorf Doll.
